Focus: The purpose of the SWELL Youth Sailing Clinic is to offer high level coaching to youth c420 & ILCA 4, 6 & 7 sailors in an ocean setting where exposure to a regular swell period can be used as a training aid. Pacific Northwest youth sailors rarely get exposure to ocean conditions, and this clinic is designed to provide just that. Come learn how to race in the swell at the Northwest’s only ocean based youth sailing clinic.
Skill Requirements : Sailors registering for SWELL should have intermediate to advanced c420 or ILCA experience - sailors should have attended one or more WIND Clinics or have similar experience.
Details: August 1-2, 2026 in Westport Washington
Clinic fees cover the cost of coaching at the event and overnight boat storage in Westport. Sailors must provide their own race-ready ILCA or c420. Each c420 sailor should register separately.
